Welcome to my journey of rediscovery! After taking a DNA test, I uncovered a beautiful blend of Igbo heritage from Africa and Choctaw roots from America. Embracing my African ancestry has brought me a sense of belonging and connection to my ancestors. Join me as I explore the traditions and lifestyles that resonate with my roots, creating a home that honors my heritage.
One of the greatest ideas I've always nurtured as an African American descent from childhood was the dream and the ambition to own a business and the desire to visit Africa to reconnect with my ancestral root. Such ideas used to sound strange to my peers and among my family members except my grandmother. "Embracing the wisdom of my ancestors, I strive to learn and live in harmony with nature. Inspired by my grandmother's dedication to growing her own crops, I believe that connecting with our roots can lead to a more fulfilling and sustainable life."
"My grandmother always believed in the power of exploration. She encouraged me to go to Africa, assuring me that it would not only be a wonderful experience but also a journey of self-discovery. Her words inspired me to embrace new adventures and learn who I truly am." According to the already known system in America which is go to school, get good grades and get a job live and enjoy whatever life offers you in America. Even though I was part of this system, I didn't allow my vision of creating my business to disappear I worked so hard to build my personal business which became a reality "by embracing my Igbo bloodline which
has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Connecting back to Nigeria has opened my eyes to the incredible benefits of black soap, shea butter, and natural oils. These products are truly remarkable, offering a blend of tradition and nourishment that is simply unbeatable." As a business minded woman I contact the embassy of Nigeria in Atlanta Georgia got all the vital information on how to secure a tourist / business visa to Lagos Nigeria, the processing time for the tourist visa as of that time was only a few weeks or thereabout, I got all the required documents put together sent to the embassy of Nigeria in Atlanta paid all the required fees a few weeks later my application was legally approved and I was on my way , The next step was for me to book my flight and search out for a hotel. My first trip to Africa was November 2018, I departed from the US landed in London airport board a connecting flight headed to Lagos Nigeria and my journey was smooth and fun, first from London to Nigeria created very memorable feelings on me for one special reason which is sitting among tens or hundreds of people of the same color flying to the motherland it feels like being in heaven to me, we landed at the material Muhammad Airport Lagos Nigeria on the Eve of November the 21st 2018, stepping down from the aircraft passing through the immigration checkpoint at the port of entry looking around the whole airport full of travelers all black men and women with exception of few white people was enough reason for me to accept that I was in the right place, because all my life I grew up in America where racism against the black people was part of the culture but here everybody seems friendly and welcoming from the taxi driver to the hotel receptionist I've learnt that Nigerians have the culture of showing exceptional hospitality towards African Americans because they believe that we're one people apart from the few bad eggs amongst them. The taste of the traditional dishes served in the country was something I also enjoyed most. I took some walks around the vicinity of the hotel in Festac Town. It was a gentle stroll where the people would greet with smiles, and the people will say welcome my sister in the quiet and peaceful place. When my host arrived we visited several restaurants, the popular gibe market and had fun with the market women, and took some memorable pictures. At the dawn of The following day I and my host visited few individuals from his contact who are into the business of black soap & shea butter production. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the peoples skin in the city of Lagos. One key point of our discussion was my major reason of visiting Nigeria was to explore on how and where to buy organic herbal products knowing that Nigeria has parts of natural and organic products, so with the help of my host we established some great connections with some local producers of those herbal products, negotiated on prices and processes of having them shipped to the US, but out of excitement I quickly grabbed some of the available herbal products and the rest is history for another day, I'm thankful to God and proud of myself for listening to my heart to embark on such a trip, which became a Game Changer for my product line. Since then, my customers across the USA, Europe and the Caribbean could be rest assured that whatever products they're buying from us is nothing less than. Organic products and I am happy that taking such a risky trip has offered me the opportunity to serve humanity by providing them opportunity to have variety of natural and organic products which will allow us to live like our ancestors. Therefore, whether you're a first-time visitor to our website or an old customer, I'm assuring you that whatever cent you're going to invest in buying our organic and natural products is worth it and you can never regret using our organic products. Do well to subscribe to our newsletters and follow us on all our social media pages as we are planning on our re-grand opening and introduction of many more organic products. In my next post I will be sharing.
